Blue Sky Angels and eHealth Technology Incubator (a Section 9, Non-Profit company) owe their existence to a series of programs of Govt. of India. The National Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board (NSTEDB), Department of Science and Technology (DST) has funded the incubator. In addition the Seed support Fund has been funded by the Technology Development Board, Govt. of India.The incubator was also the outreach centre for DSIR's TePP Program and partnership for the new PRISM program is awaited. Both the Angel fund and the Incubator have forged partnership with Multiple State Governments with Govt. of Karnataka being the first State.
At BlueSkyAngels we have now embarked on a "Hub & Spoke Model" to expand our activities. We also have partnership with Visveswaraya Technological University (VTU) the largest Technological University to set up 5 (Five) incubators in Bangalore. Mudanahalli, Gulbarga, Mangalore and Mysore. First of the "Hub and Spoke" model we are pursuing will be operational in this financial year 2014-15.
Technology Innovation in India has reached an inflexion point. As many as 25 more global companies have established R&D centers in India since the beginning of 2012. This takes the total number of MNC R&D centers in India to about 1,031.
